The last two weeks of October are when Palm Coast and Flagler Beach really get busy. Between a surf contest, a ribbon-cutting at the Intracoastal and a full week of Halloween events, there's something on the calendar almost every day through October 31. Here's the 2026 lineup I could confirm from city, county and tourism-office pages, in date order.

Events can change with weather, so check the organizer's page before you head out. I've left out anything I couldn't verify for this year.

Week of October 19 to 25

Waterfront Park Pavilion Grand Opening (Friday, Oct 23)

Palm Coast's calendar shows a grand opening for the pavilion at Waterfront Park, 150 Waterfront Park Road, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. on October 23. It's open to the public and it's a nice excuse to see the Intracoastal side of town.

Tommy Tant Memorial Surf Contest (Oct 23-25)

Flagler Beach's calendar lists the Tommy Tant Memorial Surf Contest for the weekend of October 23 to 25. Bring a chair and watch from the sand.

Cowart Ranch Maze Days (weekends through Nov 8)

The 16th annual Maze Days Fall Festival at Cowart Ranch and Farms, 8185 W. It's $15 per person, $14 for seniors, military and first responders with ID, and free for ages 2 and under. For more farms, see my pumpkin patch guide for 2026.

Palm Coast Fire Department's free haunted house is back at Fire Station 21, 9 Corporate Drive, from 7 to 10 p.m. both nights. This year's theme is Universal Monsters. A low-sensory hour runs 6 to 7 p.m. both nights, it's open to all ages (the city recommends a parent or guardian for kids under 13), and food vendors are on site: Love Handles BBQ, The Knot, B's Bar and Petals and Cream on Friday; Traveling Tom's Coffee, Mango Mike's, This Guy's Fries and Andrea's Italian Ice and Ice Cream on Saturday. Overflow parking is available at Kohl's. This is also Lt. Dan Driscoll's last year as the event's "Boo Master."

Lil Monster Mash (Saturday, Oct 31)

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Florida Agricultural Legacy Learning Center. It's $5 per person, and ages 3 and under are free.

Flagler Strong Halloween Scavenger Hunt (Saturday, Oct 31)

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting at the Flagler Beach Farmers Market on S. 2nd Street, with Flagler Beach businesses handing out treats along the route. Proceeds benefit Christmas Come True.

Scarecrows around Flagler Beach. The City of Flagler Beach is running a 2026 scarecrow contest for local businesses, so watch for scarecrows outside shops and restaurants through early November. Winners are announced at First Friday on November 6.
