Hastings is a small farm town in western St. Johns County, about 25 minutes west of St. Augustine on State Road 207. It's called the Potato Capital of Florida, and you'll still drive past potato and cabbage fields, old barns and produce stands on the way in.
People come here for land. You'll find older homes in town, newer homes on acreage, farm properties and lots for building your own place. You get a St. Johns County address for a lot less than you'd pay closer to the coast.
